Lichen Iris Holden (they/fae) is a queer, genderfluid shapeshifter artist living off-grid in Colorado. Their drawings are a playful, subconscious exploration that unearths chaos. The act of assembly and disassembly is central to their collage process - each part referencing the whole. Their textile work is a devotional practice that explores relationships with the human and non-human realms through symbolism. They believe that queerness is an inherent quality of nature to be celebrated. The channeled messages they create come through the heart, down the arms, and out of the hands - each thread having been held with loving intention. When they are not making art you can find them identifying wildflowers, cultivating plants, making herbal medicines, exercising, and practicing tarot.
